Loved decorating this gazibo for Emma and Frosty's wedding, the ribbon garland made the most wonderful backdrop, using a selection of pastel ribbons. and the pillars covered in hessian and lace made a lovely background for the flower arrangements to sit on.

I was honoured to be asked to design and make this very special flower wedding cake the other day for a brave lady who was battling cancer. One of her last wishes was to marry her husband and so their friends arranged this surprise to be delivered to them to celebrate their special day.

My New funeral books have arrived today, Really pleased to be able to use these new books now when visiting families to discuss arrangments.

I have been working with Jules from Art of Flowers on the stand design ready for The Cornish Brides last show of the year at Kingsley Village next month. Its always a fantastic event with so many great stands. We also have a special 8ft surprise on our stand this year!!!!

last weekends stand at the Brannel School Prom and Wedding fair. The new backdrop is proving to be a great addition to my stand design, i love being able to change all the ribbons as well to match in with different colour schemes.

Had a really successful day at the Lanhydrock wedding show this month, Met lots of lovely couples planning their weddings for next year and some for 2016. The stand also had a new make over (thanks to my amazing dad for building me this great backdrop!) which got lots of lovely comments and feedback.

I Loved making the flowers for Sarah's Wedding in September. She didn't have a particular colour scheme and had decided to let her two bridesmaids wear their favourite colours, one was orange and the other pink! She also mentioned that the groom was wearing a plum purple tie. We decided to try and link all these colours together in her bridal bouquet but she wanted the two bridesmaids to have their flowers to match in with their dresses. I was a little worried as to how i was going to get these colours to match! but i love a challenge and so after a long time spent in the fabric shop experimenting with matching various colous together, i managed to find this selection. We linked ivory in to make them a bit more bridal and to make sure they werent to bold against sarah's ivory wedding dress, and also found a lovely coral colour which happened to look pink with the pinks and orange with orange, This was great as it brought the two bridesmaids bouquets together and linked them in with sarahs aswell. I can't wait to see the wedding photo's and hopefuly share them with you soon!!

A huge thank you to Vicky from The Wedding Company, Bodmin for letting us display our Alice in Wonderland exhibits from last weekends Cornish Brides show at Kingsley Village.

I loved being able to design and make one of my handmade wedding bouquets in the theme of Alice in Wonderland. It was great working in various black, red and white patterned materials and using ribbons, hessian and buttons etc.

Could mossed cakes be the 'NEW' big thing??? We had a great response from people regarding our mossed cake, Unfortunately it can't be eaten, But it could be a great feature on your cake table and there is nothing to stop you having a real fruit cake in the kitchen!

Delighted to finally be able to share some images of our Alice in Wonderland themed exhibit at the Cornish Brides show on the 7th Sept. We had a great day and met lots of lovely couples and was really lovely to see people smile when they saw the stand :)

This is one of the parts I love about my work -  When we have a big order for a wedding or funeral, rather than get the flowers delivered we like to be able to visit the wholesalers and pick the flowers that have come in straight off the lorry overnight! Its an amazing experience - all the different smells, colours and varieties of flowers!!

I was delighted to be exhibiting in the wedding marquee at Royal Cornwall Show this year, it was a fantastic 3 days and met lots of very lovely people.

Just be Handmade Flowers stand at Cornish Brides wedding show 2013

Fantastic day out doing a photoshoot with these very talented people - Photographer: Kevin Hicks, Model: Emma Ferguson and Makeup artist:Kelly Richards. It was great having the opportunity to make and design the flowers for the shoot!

This was the beginning of Just be... and what it actually stands for. I first started the business making handmade wedding flowers and accessories as a hobby/sideline whilst working as a florist. The idea around this name has now developed into just be remembered and also the other categories for various occassions.
